How should I approach the unseen commentary (IB English Paper 1)?
I would advise reading the passage over once to get a general feel, then reading it again to look for particular themes and possibly read article it a thrd or fourth time to look for literary devices.
A good way to make notes is have a table with the main issues of the passage at the top and all of the lit. I know this seems like doing a lot of stuff before actually writing anything in your unseen commentary booklet, but if you get this done, the writing should be quite easy.
